Bob, The Traveling Bluegrass Gnome

Bob started his adventures on September 2, 2005.  Bob loves bluegrass music and going to festivals so we decided to send Bob on the ultimate bluegrass vacation. He's a pretty good travel partner in that he doesn't take up much room; doesn't eat much; and he promises not to snore.

Here's the deal:  We sent Bob from the Bass Mountain Labor Day Festival with some new friends. Bob's new friends were asked to take a picture with Bob at their next bluegrass festival. They were then to send the photo of Bob back with a little note saying where they are, when the picture was taken, and how much fun they had.  The instructions said to talk to some of the campers at the festival and find a new ride to the next festival. The new friends would then take pictures before leaving and then off Bob would go to the next festival where the cycle continues.  We expected Bob to have a great time.

You guys have out-done yourselves.  Bob left Bass Mountain with some long-time friends of ours, Bill and Shelley Huckeby; so we knew he was in good hands.  From there, Bob was passed to Bonnie and Mel Phillips at Hoofer's in La Grange, GA.  Bonnie and Mel found new friends for Bob at the Withacoochee Festival in Dunnellon, FL.  Their names were Steve and Susan Pounds. Bob spent the New Year with Steve and Susan at Jekyll Island, GA and continued with them back to Yee Haw Junction in FL. It was there that Bob met Richard and Chris Morgan from Durham, NC.  After a couple of months and a trip to Sertoma Youth Ranch in Dade City, FL, Bob jumped on board with Mike and Mary Robinson at the Withlacoochee Bluegrass Festival. Mike, Mary and Bob then attended a Bluegrass Gospel Song and Jam festival in Perry, FL .  Bob was very active at this festival.  The pictures are great!  Bob's latest adventures were reported from Carolina Road's First Annual Bluegrass Festival in Buena Vista, VA.  Last we heard, Bob was leaving Maine headed for Canada.  From the photos, it appears Bob is making new friends at each stop and getting a real feel for our big bluegrass family.

Sounds like Bob is having a great time and we hope you all are too!  Check out the pictures below to see all Bob's adventures.
